This event will create a live pilot demonstration of how a protected bike lane could look and function within a Borough’s town center. Drawn from the 2018 DVRPC West Chester Pike at Paoli Pike Multimodal Traffic and Circulation Study this tactical urban design project creates a temporary safe environment to validate how bicycle lanes and sharrows can be established within the Borough of West Chester.
Volunteers NEEDED!
TMACC and volunteers from organization such as Bike Chester County, WCCC, and Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia will create a temporary bike lane in the right turn lane on Market Street between Darlington and Church Streets, a safe shared bike route headed south on S. Church Street to Sharpless Street and north on Darlington Street. Temporary paint, delineators and signage will mark the bicycle route and notify motorists.
