Ride in the Moonlight with FIT! Remember that iconic scene from E.T. where Elliot rides his bike across the moon? Well this isn’t that, but it does involve flying and bikes and, of course, the moon.
Join us for a moonlight ride on the runway at Brandywine Airport, and help raise money for TMACC’s Foundation for the Improvement of Transportation (FIT.) The family-friendly ride includes a kids’ course, laps, live music, and fun!
FIT is a 501c3 established to influence the development of safe and accessible alternative transportation options in the Philadelphia region through education, advocacy and leadership. Among FIT’s projects are the Ride for Health Initiative to provide free transportation to medical, dental, and human service appointments to those in the Phoenixville area who have no other means of transportation. FIT also promotes safe routes for students to walk to school, and educates cyclists and others on the benefits of commuting by bike.
The ride will on a closed course with various distances available the outer loop is 1.25 miles, additional events will include hot laps, drag race and a kids course. Bike decorating is encouraged and glow sticks will be provided to light up your bikes!
This is a ride for ages 5 and up. Children must be accompanied by adults.
Helmets are required for riders.
